Ventilation louvers

New! The Wide louver is now available on MagiCAD/Revit. Browser version, click here.

Wide exterior wall ventilation grilles are available in all sizes and shapes.

Comes standard in seawater-resistant aluminum, but we can also deliver in AISI 316. Our ventilation grilles stop EVERYTHING from rain and in addition fog for air speeds above 2 m / s.

The ventilation louvres can also be supplied with integrated heating cables that prevent freezing rain, snow or ice from attaching to the ventilation louvres.

The area requirement when using our vertical ventilation louver is down to 50% of the area requirement when using a horizontal ventilation louver or filter louver.

Which ventilation louver should I choose?

Wide Industrier has several variants of ventilation louvers and we sometimes get questions about which ventilation louver should be selected. Below we have pulled out "high lights" that characterize the models.

Our most robust ventilation louver. Recommended use in strong wind and rain-prone areas where the ventilation louver can be exposed to high gusty winds, torrential rain and a generally harsh climate.
ME is used for marine/offshore, maximum air speed up to 6 m/s, and ME-B is used in building ventilation, maximum air speed up to 4 m/s.
Both models meet the requirements of EN13030 Class A, for highest water discharge and class 2 for
pressure drop by a large margin. In areas where it is important that the ventilation louver, to the greatest extent possible, prevent easy snow to pass, air speeds of around 2 m/s are recommended. Material seawater resistant aluminum AA6063T6.

This is also a very efficient ventilation louver. The ventilation louver has many similarities to our ME louver but it is optimized for the lowest possible pressure drop and self-generated noise.
With increased attention to the ventilation system's SFP factor, this model is a very good choice.
SP is used for marine/offshore, maximum air speed up to 6 m/s and SP-B is used in building ventilation, maximum air speed up to 4 m/s. Both models meet the requirements of EN13030 Class A, for highest water discharge and class 1 for low pressure drop by a large margin. In areas where it is important that the ventilation louver, to the greatest extent possible, prevent easy snow to pass the recommended air speed of around 2 m/s. Material seawater resistant aluminum AA6063T6.

Same as SP/SP – B but with self-regulating heating cable integrated into slats and ventilation drip pan. It is recommended to ensure that snow/ice does not clog your intake in winter at facilities where a re-snowed/tiled ventilation louver can result in unwanted incidents.
SP is used for marine/offshore, maximum air speed up to 6 m/s ("summer speed") and SP-B is used in building ventilation, maximum air speed up to 4 m/s (summer speed).
In order for the ventilation louver to the greatest extent possible prevent light snow to pass and that the heating cables should have the desired power recommended a maximum air speed of 2.3-2.5 m/s.
When using Wide's solution with integrated self-regulating heating cable, under most conditions there is no need to stop the ventilation fan for snow and/or ice to melt.  Material seawater resistant aluminum AA6063T6.

Use at air speeds above 6 m/s. The ventilation louver is developed to achieve the highest possible water discharge in combination with the lowest possible pressure drop for air speeds up to 12 m/s.
BL2 meets the requirements of EN13030 Class A, for highest water discharge and class 1 for low pressure drop by a large margin. High air speed can in some cases result in unwanted sound and or vibrations. Material seawater resistant aluminum AA6063T6.

If the ventilation louver is required in AISI 316 for maximum air speed up to 6 m/s.
Meets the requirements of EN13030 Class A, for highest water discharge and class 2 for pressure drop by a large margin.
